Other than lack of power and communication, Its not terrible in Luquillo (key word here is terrible- it still sucks big time). We have the most important thing, clean water. Plus our house is concrete and survived (just lost my garage). I fear for the people in the center of the island, and the ones who's clean water has to be pumped. Thanks for the note Boss.

So good to hear from you. Thanks for the update. Can you tell how the electric company is doing on restoring power? Are the big state side power companies trying to step in? Or is Puerto Rico Power keeping it local? Wishing you and everyone there well.
Brian

Good to hear that you got quiet well through that mess.
Hopefully you get power up soon, 30 days is far to long.

Comms are real limited, and I'm not following the news very much, but I do believe power companies from mainland US are here. They need as much help as possible. The damage to the electrical system is massive. If anyone knows of a Caterpillar dealer that has (in stock) a single phase 19. Kw generator model DE16E3S please let me know! Local Cat dealer says if I order one today, I'd get it by the end of January!! Phones are down, but you can send me a whatsapp message to #7878896608. Thanks very much!!!

Good morning! Hope to be putting up some photos soon, but thought I'd write this quick note to say I'm doing an experiment with perlite, based on MHP Gardener's videos. He uses a 5 Gallon paint strainer in his dutch buckets, and fills them with perlite (Drip fed INTO the mesh bag). My buckets feed from the bottom/side, so diirty fish water has to go through the mesh bag (on the way in). We'll see if it works (Or how fast the holes on the mesh bags clog!).

Cheers!
Felix
