CG, there was a big discussion on adding iron objects into the system in an anaerobic environment. It should work to release the iron in a form the plants to absorb. The thread title was 'Conversations with a Really Smart Guy' (I'm too lazy to link it), and we covered anaerobic decomposition of iron to get absorbable iron, as well as creating anaerobic zones in the growbeds to help excess nitrates off-gas.

My beds are WASHED scoria i have shellgrit and add cleated iron when i think of it seems to sit ph 6.5
