Pruned appropriately, a fruit tree takes up reletively little grow bed space, and gives you vertical grow space.

Excellent point. I don't think I want to try fruit trees just yet, seeing as I haven't got my AP online yet. But perhaps next winter when the barefoot trees are available I will make some additions.

The only reason to clean a grow bed is if you are going to dump it out or move it. Other wise just put in some worms. It is best to never let the water level get too high so as to make algae grow on top of the media.

hi I quickly went through your thread. Keep on trying to make it go. The more you learn the easier it is to do. I have had many problems with my system and it keeps on trucking. I tried to do the trees and I learned a lot. I still want to do some more but not the same way I did. I will make a flood and drain system for them.
