when i say kill me i meant the fish. nah nothing spectacular, two splits, one 1.5HP in the lounge that usually stays off and one 1HP in the bedroom.

we usually retrat there and onlt cool one room.

ideal or average during summer?

21C is quite cool

i'd be happy with 24 during summer.

but if you're asking in relation to the trout i'll set up a 1/10th HP compresor in a tank with insulated back and sides. heat gain should be minimal

lol, tried it, didn't work ;) LOL

1.5HP is 1.5HP, try and cool more than the lounge with that and it doesn't work!

it DID take the edge off ever so slightly before i put the ac in the bedroom though.

prolly. so even better that it just gets returned to the tank instead of wasted out. and its quite cold out of the drain too, so the tank cooler shouldn't even run when i'm in the room.

everyones happy :)

was just saying to BK, i hope my trout don't cark it over night.

i just dosed the tank to 6+ppt, which the trout are fine with, but salinity ALSO reduces DO saturation point

temp was at 23.5C for much of the weeked (water temp) surprisingly trout are STILL fine, and hungry as ever! I try not to feed them when the water temp is over 20C
