AP, you should be able to change the name yourself any time you like. Just go back to the first post and edit it, the thread title will be there.

Hi Andrew, To answer your question , No. I have not put in the redclaw yet. I have an overstocked fish tank and need to eat a few first so as not to produce to much ammonia. I have 372 jade perch in 2500 lts of water.

How big are they now AP....that's a pretty high density... I know you've got a lot of filtration and plant growth going on in that system of yours...

Are you struggling with your water quality.... doing water changes?

How are your water temperatures going through winter?.... figure you must be heating to keep Jades alive.... yes/no?

Rupert I figure the fish are ranging between 150 - 200 mm. Water quality is no problem. I have not had to do any water changes just adding water as needed. I have been checking the temps every morning. Averaging about 15 c. Some mornings the air temp has been 3 c but the tank water has been 12 c. So no , no heating just the solar affect of the poly roof on the green house.

Ah.. OK... thought they might be more around twice that size...

15 degrees... not bad for winter... still would have thought that's getting down for Jades though... are they feeding???

Maybe you need another tank Brian ;-).

Mate - winter will be over soon and then those Jades will explode once they start eating well again. I'm suprised you've not had more deaths at those temps.

Sorry mate - thought you must have started with 400. Give them a couple of months and they'll be eating twice a day - watch the growth then.
