Hi All....I am going to breed guppies

A good starter feed for 2 cm Barra. I am not sure when I will get the new batch of fish. I still have one Barra in the tank. So I might start the guppies off in the sump.

And the dirt garden.....even over our summer it still produced. Time to ready for the next vegi season. Been adding heaps of fish skeleton's to the soil, to add more condition.

Hi Jessy - yeah, that asian ornamental is commonly called a Chinese Lantern chilli. The heat in them can be highly variable - I used to have one that tasted great and had only a little heat, ut the neighbours used to damn near kill me.

I have killed off my major Kio. and last Barra I understand why it happened....so please don't let it be you.


I loved my fish, and my garden, but the bugs, I thought got bad. So used neme oil, and a soap......I can appriciate many saying NOOOOOO....but I did. The first dose, not a problem. The second dose, was different.

I thought I was doing the best thing.......lucky I didn't have 200 Barra if not more in the tank.

I hate the way we have to learn from our mistakes. THAT WAS ONE BIG KOI ! Sorry for your loss Jessie.( Hate to bring back the memories but how long did it take to get that big)

I had that fish from younge adult, he is the last of the batch of koi/ cross gold fish I bought in town

If it's any consilation none of our 12 koi's got past that size.Had them in the solar system with goldies then the goldies developed Dropsy. Not sure if the koi's had the same thing but they died 1 x 1. That fish of yours would have been worth big money.

yep....$$ for sure. but it was my baby and I killed it off...... fish aren't so easy to keep alive....but that one was a stayer oh well, may it rest in peace

Know what you mean. Sorry for bringing back the memories. On another note, loved the photo's of the barra ( not the dead ones ). Brought back memories of being up north, might have to invest in some next summer
