Damn that is bad luck, but the barra look amazing. I wonder how many different ways you can have barramundi :D

Can I ask, how long was the pump off for before the barra chucked it in?

Hi All, my Puter is down, but just for a quick update....

I ended up with just over 70 Kg of fish, in the 3 KL tank, it didn't look that full, just my stupidity that turned of the the pump....would of been 114 fish, and I felt we could of got more weight, if i hadn't played witht the system.

More fingerlings will arrive in Febuary, so hoping all the best for that grow out. :flower:  8)

I have a major bug infestation...I have know idea what sort of bug it is, but they are in swarm infestation, and sucking the life out of the plants.

I will be removing the infected plants and starting again...

They look like lice under a microscope. Any idea's on how to treat them would be greatly appriciated.

That's a terribly sad looking chilli plant there Jessy :( no idea what the pest is.

Hope Faye or Joel or Mitch can help you out.

Even before you identify the bug , you can still treat it by the type of damage that it causes.
For example if the pest is sucking, then it is ingesting sap of plant fluids. (If it were a caterpillar I would say Dipel.)
You can either deter the bug by using something like a chilli and garlic spray or worm leachate some people swear by.
The other thing is to use sticky traps. I am struggling to see anything much by the pictures but my first thoughts are something like spider mite, is there any webbing?

No Webbing, but a silvery shine is left on the plants

Do they look like head lice or plant lice? Is the silvery coating mucus? (feel it with wet fingers: it will be slimy). Are there various stages of the pest: larvae, eggs, pupae, adults? I'd probably try dusting everything with diatomaceous earth, but no guarantees. Ripping everything out and bagging or burying it is another solution if damage is severe, but I hate to see your garden go without a fight.

Good luck.

 Nice to see you back on line Jessy, been wondering how things are going. Looks like you have enough ceylon spinach to feed the north west, (if my eyes are not deceiving me.)
