Water test again today...

Ammonia still: 0.50 - Not spiking yet as I expected....

Would I exect this to go up rapidly if I placed 17 * 600g fish into a 1000Ltrs?

Or will this build up gradually? If its not changing much, should I be seeing a change in Nitrite/ Nitrate levels this early?

Is it ok to just test the water at the top of the tank? Im just wondering where all th ammonia is as I xpected to get a huge jump...

Is 0.50 Ammonia ok?

mcphro i think that you need to wait for a day or two at least to see some changes

-if your plant number stayed the same when you introduced new fish then you should see some NO3 spikes and some new lush growth after that

-but if your GBs aren't doing what they should, then you'll probably see ammonia spikes in the next few days

if your fish tank is cycled with a pump then you'r ok to measure it on the top, this would not be the case if the water was still--but then again your fish would probably be dead in that case:)

0,5 NH4 is ok for now, but if it gets worse in the near future(gets to 1.0), then a partially water change would be needed

Ok some news today...

Ammonia: 0.25 down from 0.50
Nitrites:0.50 Increased Up fro 0
Nitrates: 8ish Increase from 5

Looking better today hehe and the fish ate some of the cabbage I had floating on the surface

I could be lying, but im sure I could actually see the growth of my cabbages in the system today... Check out my water levels now...
