yeah,
it looks like they have been giving him a hard time.
he was on the smaller side compared to the other silvers.
well the trout are at least twice his size, he was probably going to be lunch soon!!!
trout smashed the feed tonight...
finally it looks like we are going to get some sunshine, it's only been about 2-3 weeks

Here's a Vid trout feeding.
I love trout, so much better than Silvers.
Silvers have been doing ok, but not eating, have only lost 1 since I had my fungal issue.
Veggies are doing ok due to the limited sun light we have had in Melbourne for the past 3 & 1/2 weeks. Harvesting broccoli, spring onions, basil, coriander, chives & parsley. Got pea's, onions, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, and Brussel sprouts.
System has been ticking along nicely...

Regards
Matt

Here's a bit of an up date.

all is well, had 2-3 jumpers over the last month, so I finally cut a piece if perspex and placed it over the FT. Also had and about 3 silvers die.

Thanks Bundybear for the feed..

Regards

Matt

Jumpers hey? I cant say i've noticed any jumpers but could explain why my sump tank was a bit light on. I suppose the cats would clean up before I noticed if there were.

Well last week I decided to replace the door on the hot house and the temperature has raised dramatically as well with the water temps.
we really haven't see to much sunshine over late week but my water temps rose from 11c to 13.5c during the week. Yesterday and today the sun came out a fair bit and it got to 25c in the hot house and FT temp was at 15c. Even the Silvers had a crack at the food   with in the weekend my broccoli doubled in size as well... Trout were unforgiving towards the feed.
been harvesting lettuce, broccoli, spring onions, coriander & parsley.
No pics yet but will come soon...

Regards
Matt

Alright guys

Currently I have 2 trout who can not leave each other alone. they nip and bite at each other to the point that they are missing scales. Should I separate them???

at first I thought "how cute their playing" but wow there are really going for it! Must be brothers!
Maybe you should be feeding them more! They look to be a good size too! Are they average or big ones? Its hard to tell but I reckon we are on par for size at the moment.

Here's an update video,
veggie production has been pretty slow due to lack of sunshine...
My 2 fighting trout are still alive
Trout have been really banging on the weight and slamming around 60 - 90 grams twice a day. The silver look like tadpoles compared to the trout. think they might become lunch.

regards
Matt
