Got the auti siphon worked out! Using EBs flood and drain system (from the BYAP bible ) I only have to drop a .65mm capped pipe over the inner pipe,.40mm ,run a .5 mm pipe from desired water level to empty level and runs like a dream :D :o My problem now is I only have a 120 litre sump tank and 6 (soon 8 GBS ) each 2400 by .900 by .300 deep Itend to get overflows :oops: :evil: .Any help gratefully accepted. :oops:

actually, the bigger pump is the better option, then you won't have such a deficit of water in your fish tank

So simple EB,just drop a piece of .65mm pipe witha cap on top ,crenellations below ,and away you go :D Talkin about your F and D system! Still need Ells small pipe to break siphon but all i needtod is drop these pipes over your system and WHOOOSH! :D . Stillhave to work out the mini sump, but with BYAP it will happen :D

Normally if it won't break siphon, it is due to the air tube (or lack there of)...best I go back over your thread and check :lol:

Niloc, I had the same problem with the sump here. The first pump wasn't really suitable for the job. The second pump was slightly smaller, so the sump was still overflowing. So, we doubled the size of the sump, problem solved :D

There is that - but of course the biggest one is having too high an inflow for the size siphon chosen.

Thanks everyone,I have another problem now!!!!!!!!!!!.How to use 4 (4)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! filter towers in my system!And something called an aquasonic bionature filter system .Christmas came early! Filter towers are called FSI , manufactured in the usa (USA)HAD TO make caps for our USA members :) :wink: Anyone got any ideas,apart from taking them off my hands! :evil:
