Steve regards auto pots i have been using them in hydroponics dont know how they would go in aquaponics check out the picture.i have 15 or more.

have not had a chance to look at links yet, so do they just keep a constant amount of water in the pot reservoir? Wouldn't that deplete DO to the roots severly?

Steve there is a smart valve in the centre of the base between the pots it fills to approx 25mm and the plants use all of that up before it fills again very simple valve only 1 moving part .very smart .hope this helps i will post some pics of the valve tomorrow.

Hi guys,

I've been aware of these in Hydroponics for a while and also a concept called "Dutch Pots"...

In Dutch Pots nutrient is drip fed from the top and gravity drains back to tank...

Also been using an NFT type pot system that works much the same ...

So I figure why can't we incorpoate an AP style approach...

At least that's what I'm going to try ... feed the heavy feeders first through the nft/pot system then drain to grow beds etc....

Initial plans for system posted in members area...

Any thoughts, oh and buy the way Steve I think it was you that wanted to maybe do fruit trees??
