this is a ornamental grass i grew in my system
grew well
from handfull of cuttings to............
i just kept spliting

excellent system!!

one question, what sort of cycle do you run...flood and drain or continous flow? as you are gravity fed how do you control the cycle?

had this over my dam
plastic pulled over damcover (pvc homemade)

first rain/big problem/removed/pvc /angle not steep and strong on cover
rigged this overhead yesterday and hung the dam cover today

now tomorow i pul plastic over cover
trying to maintain/gain/control heat
not very neat but...........
has to do for now

hi i_ngsi

my cycle is a 24 cycle
i run gravity from dam into 8 growtray's (bio/filter)
from my growtrays into duckweed dam
from duckweed into my pumpsump
back to dam
the 2 sand poolfilters you see are on bypast
to much work

between the ballvalve in the dam and the control in my pumpsump
i can run my system flood and drain or continous flow
works witchever i prefer
i have a ball valve in the dam/closes when water level drops with outflow
simple
