Don't increase your feed rates much until your nitrites are gone..

I would say ph 7.4 ammonia 0.25 but may just be the shadow making it look darker? Nitrites 0 and nitrates 0.

Still travelling well at this point so keep slowly increasing the feed each day

yeah looking pretty good.
My experience was that the nitrates went really high and then the PH went down - then the nitrates went down also with more plant growth and stronger bacteria. But you seem to have some plants eating your nitrates and good bacteria possibly? Could also be your system is stable at a higher PH than mine, which is constantly pushing 6.0

hi everyone just a update my ph7.4 ammonia0.25 nitrite0 nitrate0.this has been like this for at least 20 days now I thought I was suppose to get nitrates by now the plants are growing rapidly now and the trout are noticeably getting bigger by the day and I have been increasing feed rate slowly and now giving them one and a half tablespoons a day should I be doing anything else or just carry on as I have been doing? PS I have put some iron chelate in the system and I can see the improvement to the plants that were lacking in iron that was 4days ago.

There are no nitrates as your plants are growing really well and using them all. That is a good thing. I would increase the feed to two tablespoons for a couple days and if the tests are still ok then increase to 3 and test for a couple of days. it's going well so far

Twenty trout, no nitrates, cycled system, I'd say you could up the feed rates substantially.
