Hi all,

been a bit quiet of late, busy cleaning up after the massive storm hitting us. i wont be forgeting that friday night for awhile, we all survived though (only just) even the chooks were rescued with 3 inches of water over the perch, chucked them in the ute for the night (messy but alive). water came about 2cm from coming in the house with about 2 foot through the garage  . aquaponics came very, very close to going under with about an inch spare from flood water engulfing the tank. It was an amazing sight with our street turning into 1.5m deep torrent which nearly took me and the ute with it.

the fish are nearly all kickn with afew fatalities due to the freezing cold rain (i presume) Not sure if its finish cycling yet, ammonia and nitrite read zero nitrate not tested. It all fared pretty well considering we had no power for 4 days :D

Good to see ur AP height = ur home site height. Would hate to think your dwelling actually took precedence. Welcome back Kotter.

Finally, a progress report.....

Extended the bath tub rack and put in 8 more bathtubs making it 16 in total. gradually bringing them back into to line as i get more fish. I have 5 inline at the moment with the 6th converted to a yabbie pond (just taped up th holes at the bottom of the stand pipe).

30 silvers, 12 yabbies and 2 large goldies in total but plan to add 100 more silvers when there ready. System must of finished cycling as the plants are starting to kick along now. Hopefully it will really start to krank when the weather warms up...considering making a black poly grid to run on the roof to warm up the water
