Thanks faye :D I haven't had a lot of formal training for writing but its been good training and Mashallah I have a knack for it. I'll just go look at the plants and put down an update, but till then;

twiddled: past participle, past tense of twid·dle (Verb)
1. Twist, move, or fiddle with (something), typically in a purposeless or nervous way.
2. Turn or move in a twirling way

ROFL :laughing3: !

Marvelous turn of phrase that Mr. Bill, bravo :D

All is fine on the AP side upstairs, dirt veggies seem fine also. AP tomatoes need a bit of a pruning though to get the brown and dead bits off.

Set some compost tea up to brew with worm compost, was going to mix two kinds of compost to get a wider spectrum of micro organisms but the other one had some white mold growing on it so I din't use it. I think I'll put some boiled neem leaves and some garlic into it before I spray it on tomorrow.

Today all was well. topped up the water in both the AP and the pond, also applied compost tea to all plant. Plants looked good. based on comments received on YouTube have now realized belief that dirt tomato plants may be over fertilized, will look into it further, would do do right now but just met my old fried Smirnoff a bit back so will have to wait for tomorrow.

Thank God for spell-check, I much admit I'm quite addicted to it now.

Going to the beach in the morning with the boys, will harvest seaweed. The bottom of the compost tea din't get used, added more water and chili and cheyenne to it, and some garlic. Will add neem leaves and some more sugar on tomorrow, and seaweed which I will hopefully harvest.

Not much work done on putting all those videos together yet, but soon, and will also start a new thread for those so that people can comfortably view them :D

Hope you guys have a lovely weekend, remember not to work too hard and that you need at least two pure recreational hours a week in order to function at peak efficiency, the weekend is the best time to make them happen :drunken:

THanks Decal, I'm hopeing for another growth spurt once I pull out all that sweet basil and trasfer it to dirt pots. you have any idea why the tomato leaves are dieing off like that?

Also, for all and sundry, I have finally put up all, well almost all, of these videos I've been harping on about like the Discus transport and the flower show, and for your convinience posted them in a thread all by themselves, do chuck in your two bits into the hat :D :geek:

Your welcome! :thumbright:
As for the tomatoes dying off, it's just what they do! I have had tomatoes in the dirt garden for years and they do the same, you can slow it a bit but trimming off the dying leaves as they start and putting them in the bin.

Sorry to say you are not the Lone Ranger on this problem.

Quite the contrary, I'd only feel it were a problem if I was the lone ranger in it. As long as it happens to everyone means that its perfectly natural and correct, and not me killing the plants  I think its just the plants reaching the end of their growth cycle.

Continues to look fine today, here is the dirt update I promised, you can see how the aphid population is even lower than last week, and the tomatoes are so ripe!

In the morning I go and try to sell my soul to an oil company, interviewing for a sales position. Been a long time since my last interview, well corporate job interview anyway, almost 3 years. God willing will be all right though.

What an exciting and productive day :D

Got loads of leads on grow media, discarded clay pots and river rocks. Also got a bunch of rocks that I'm going to test with vinegar in the morning, they're cheaper.

Got a 3 liter spray bottle, a little plastic breeding cage 2 plecos each for the ST and FT of the AP, some more compost and a couple of tiny plastic seedling planters that will be great for floating rafts.

Shifted the basil to some dirt planters, set up the new tub in its place, got eyes on a pump I want to put into it.

But by far the best news, I have worms! :headbang: Hallelujah! I found two big, fat, long ones in the basil root balls, chucked them back into the GB, marvelous find this, made my day. I have video of the greatness.

p.s. I was off having a bender at the beach, but did any of you catch the match in which we broke your 34 world cup game winning streak? :support:

Din't do much today, watched the match, went and checked up and broken clay pots, should be picking up a car load in the morning, that and get the bamboo man to give me an estimate for the shade house or buy bamboo for building it myself, and visit uncle and pitch him an AP greenhouse for the land I visited, and some minor knick knack things, along with hopefully getting the tub AP up and started. Must make it a productive day.

So a second AP system has started in Pakistan  Not the one I'm building for my buddy, which should go up this weekend, but another way on the other side of the country :D Its just cycling up right now and I'm going to help the chap out, but what excitement.
