 - can't believe how many eggs, rabbits etc the kids got this year.

Faye - only just saw your post about the perch deaths. Tis all a learning experience heh - and good thing is that you were still able to eat them.

Well Charlie I would be telling her of the benefits to her including she will have fresh fish and veges at the back door. She won't have to run out to the shop to buy gorceries as often, saving her time, energy and money. Very educational for the children teaching them about science, maths, entomology, fish biology, pet care, health, cooking and gardenning.
Benefits to the environment may include water harvesting, no fertilisers, pesticides and chemical use. She won't have to bend and dig,or get her fingernails dirty. No sand on the spinach. No snails and lizards eating the strawberries. Just fresh, clean, green, quick growing veges. And its fun.
How much better can it get?

Love the bunnies!

Found myself a metric converter online. Very handy thing! Reading this thread alone has given me much insight as to what my system should be like and not what I was thinking. Your 3000liter tank is only 792 gallons and I was thinking I would need a much larger tank.

"Bend over and dig, or get her fingernails dirty. Run out to the shop to buy groceries"...I think you must be talking about the wife I wish I had  Oh well as the song goes, Love the one you're with  She will like the fresh veggies and stuff on her plate after all is prepared and ready to eat  If ever was the day she was to catch and clean a fish I would likely die of a heart attack  She may come around yet...

That looks delicious! I've decided everything I love is in another part of the world. Gold, big crayfish, cool aquaponics and women who can cook what they can grow

Very cute, do you package them and send them to get rid of the pesky varmits hiding in my growbeds. How many of the chocolate bunnies will they eat in a day and how do they overwinter? (A term used in the study of pests.)

By the way we used to have 3 that size but they grew up and they are not that cute anymore.
