No Decal, alot died and became lunch to other fish and some migrated through the grow beds to the sump. Thinking about getting some fingerlings soon , just not sure what to get??? Was thinking some kind of perch and see if there is anything local.

Up your way it's Jade perch I think.

Good thing about perch is you can keep adding to them with out the fear of them eating each other. The down side it takes a while to get them up to eating size.

At the end of winter I'm going to add another lot of Sliver Perch fingerling to 25 already in the tank, this way I should them have a steady supply of Sp's.

Nice setup JORGY, If your worried about the tubs collapsing, I would run a RHS frame around underneath the bath tub lip and brace it down onto your existing framework. Jack the tubs up a bit before bracing.

I have Jades, great fish. Barra would also be an option up there.

Thanks for the info chainsaw, Think I will take a punt on it lasting, and when veg are finished, replace the top half of rocks with hydroton.

Long time since last update, basically had system idling along with one barra waiting for Jade perch to come available. I just missed getting them at the end of last season, so it's been a long wait. :( I got 50 around the same time Jaymie got hers{17-2-2012} and can't believe how fast they are growing. approx 4.5cm 5 weeks ago, now approx 10cm. I'll post some pics when i get time. ps those little fish that were in the sump tank turned out to be empire gudgeons , about 20 of them living happily in there.
