window still in position, holding its own. touching up all the silicon edges tomorrow to finish the internal off.
Bought some duck weed today from water garden world in Balcatta. really great people there and they dont mind giving out info on anything and everything.
Spoke with an employee who was keen to set up her own AP as well as trying to instigate one at the shop too!!

OH, the bin looking thing is a small filter setup... because the pond is not linked to beds yet.
just bio balls and foam. works well enough.

pump pushes huge volumes of water so i have a bleed under water.

Now that is what I call a tank.

I reckon you are going to have fun catching the last 10 or 20 trout out of there. :funny1: :funny1:

What sort of thermometer have you chased on ebay? I would like to find something that can log, but they seem pretty expensive.

Like a lot of people I was hoping I'd just found out ebay could provide me with exactly what I was looking for, for next to nothing :)

I had a look at your project a while back. Nice to see it coming along. Function and form. I like it a lot!! :thumbright:

wouldn't mind keeping the ornamental fish in the big tank with trout.. i know they will be eaten, so i was thinking of getting a 4 sided tank made of acrylic
side back side base with holes and mounting it over the top of the wall and hanging it just below the window so you can see them.... although... if i get flying trout like i had last year... 1 well placed landing could see me with one fat trout penned up by his lonesome... with no little friends.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

tank has held a constant 20 deg C for a week now...
fish all still stoked with their new environment... and look cool thru the window. real friendly little buggers, a bit like trout, they see you through the window or as you walk past the edge and they all come to say hi and see if there is feed available. Kind of a shame that their days are numbered in the big tank. might be safest for them to head into the little 1000L tank... maybe with another viewing mindow....

15 mm glass may be able to handle it!! Other than that you will have some fun. My tank is 900mm deep and with water not being clear, 2 metres deep....I just can't wait to here your reports. ("s" yes, more than one report I can assure you!)
