My issue Is I want this as neat as possible... I am trying to work out the neatest possible method whilst still making it functional. I also want to be able to access as many sides of the grow beds as I can.

That will depend on you how neat you do your pipe work

I walk over some of my GB's to get to others. Remember if you are running the pipes low then bring them up to the gb's solids will slowly build up in the bottoms.

Is the slab a rectangle. Have a look at creative1's system, I think his gb's are in a circle around the tank. Gives you the most access and looks pretty from above. Put in a spider valve in the center of the tank and have an outlet for each gb. Connect a spillway to the inlets and it could double as a water feature.

Well the first stage of the "extension" is done. We cleaned out the last shed and the shed is now on ebay.

Hopefully it will be gone by Sunday so I can start on the electrical work for the new setup.

Well I got a quote of $400. This doesn't include digging the trench or powerbox....so basically conduit and cable plus labour. (I'd reckon an hour max)... its a 10-15m run.
I called a trench digger... $375 to do the trench...
I called about hiring a trench digger.. $220 for a half day...

There must be a better way.

I bought a power box though. Should do the trick just nicely, and 4 plug power board.

Well a 600mm trench was dug yesterday and cable and conduit dropped in and then the enclosure was installed and wired up.

It's down the back end of the yard and on the "working" side of the post and rail fence. We call the side of the yard that the aquaponics is in the 'working side" and the other side is our native garden that we are slowly growing to become our little piece of bushland. I really want to make the two separate but also work in together.

Here's the result. I'm a neat freak so it had to look good and blend in as much as possible.

Also means I now have power for my water feature in the back yard.

Also I installed a 240lt water saver. It will help a little to offset the systems water usage.

Well today is the day.

I am picking up the next 2 growbeds, stands and all the associated things and a 3000lt tank.

I wont be installing it all today as I need to still get pumps etc but I think 2 weeks and i'll be finally running the 3rd and final incarnation of my system.

Well the last time I asked Dicko to give me a hand to setup the aqauponics system it was Black Saturday. It was hot and we got a picture of him enjoying an ale in the tank.

Today was the start of MK III. It was hot and this is the result so far.

Rolling the tank in.

Having a break after setting up in the heat.

And the sign of a bloody good tank is the beer holder.

Hehehe, never thought of the rim as a stubby holder ledge. Floating rafts are good for that too. :)
