Thanks Scotty, I got some straight salt from the flats in Utah, sonic boom included :D
Since we have around 250 gallons, the 735 g pack should be enough to get 1pp.
I salted the 2 grow beds we have that problem with. Half the pack today and will do the second half on Friday. Maybe salting those to beds will kill the fungus or what ever it is. Than I will spray them with the stuff you posted and throw some seed in.

The Cucumbers have very nicely recovered from the washing, the Basil is coming along, I did them yesterday.

Just to get the production going again and make the cafeteria happy, I will start some lettuce in plugs at home and than transplant them.

Next is some thing for the Cus to climb up on.

Amonia had been up to 0.50 last Friday. I quit feeding and than the new plants probably helped, too.
It was 0.25 today.

Might just have caught it in time

This doesn't sound like a good way to do the salting but hopefully it won't matter. Salting directly on the bed without diluting the salt first? Yes you might kill the fungus and might also kill the beneficial bacteria that process the ammonia (though I think it's unlikely you'll kill all of either).

It won't kill the fungus but it's better to dissolve the salt and slowly add it to the system so you don't get a slug of really concentrated salt water anywhere :dontknow: . You may have done something along these lines and I just misinterpreted but I'll suggest flushing any salt left on the grow bed surface through with some system water just to make certain there isn't enough on the beds to cause the plants any troubles. Also might be a good idea to keep good tabs on the ammonia and nitrite in case this had an affect on the bacteria.

Other than that the rest sounds good.

I considered the possibility that salting those 2 barrels ( 2 from 8) might damage the bacteria in those 2 barrels.
Every second day I do a full test of the water. I was very worried when I found out that the Ammonia had gone up. Nitrite is still 0 and Nitrate around 80.
I keep a close eye on that.
