ive got about 10 trout, 10 SP's about the same in Tandanus and not sure how many comets but i know none have tails, theyre all still in my old system.
Was thinking of getting more comets to get this one running and then put the trout in and get them fattened up SOON lol. My old sytem I started it off with about 30 comets in the IBC and had a bathtub GB

The comets are cheap here at the moment - 8 for $12...
The net says they are easy to breed too - I want to try but am yet to find a how too :?
so the SP and trout are good together?

would they actively search for mosquito lavae and can they grow big enough not to be eaten by barra (plate size ones) ?

yep i recon they'd go the mozzies, barra can pretty much destroy any fish cant they?

Now that i have not many convicts left (it taken me about 2 years to actively kill them all;) I find that i want at least a breeding pair!!!!! The trout and muzza cod would gladly take them!

I THINK i may have one female left, but they dont stand a chance of breeding in the yabbie tank where they live :)

With the comet and fan tail goldies they can get big enough to avoid being eaten for at least 18 to 20 months when with barra - what's the max size for convicts - they are one of the many I never kept :)

i have seen them 10cm long, they grow quite quickly if you feed them up and keep them at tropical temps 24C+
