The whole system had some help in the form of a number of particular strains of bacteria...isolated from soil, and then cultured in a laboratory that I do some work for. I'm pretty happy with some of the benefits I'm seeing thus far.

The weather here is back to well below freezing most nights, and the days are again colder and cloudier, so I'm back to asian brassicas and lettuces...the fruiting plants were nice while it lasted :)

Thanks again guys for the encouragement!

Hey Vlad there was discussion on another thread about retaining scoville ratings on hot chilli's in AP, can you add experiences on this? You have probably the largest range of bloody hot chilli's Ive seen on the forum. Comment was made that AP chillis arent as hot as dirt grown so would be good to have your insight.

Thanks mate

Hi there Charlie :)
My AP grown chillis are pretty darn hot. So are my soil grown chillis. I've not noticed any real difference in heat. Sometimes the subjective sense of heat will vary from berry to berry from the same plant (whether AP or soil). But this subjective and anecdotal, not measured Scovilles or anything.
I've always heard (and believed) that hot peppers are less hot when grown in water (hydro/AP) or in moist soil, I no longer believe this to be true (at least not with these 'super hot' strains)...in a purely subjective practical sense. That's just my personal experience talking of course. I've never subjected them to laboratory analysis or anything. The hottest pepper I've ever tasted came out of an AP system of mine.

Hi BuiDoi,

Yes I a using an indexing valve for sequential flooding. It is a 6 out let valve with a 4 zone cam installed. Each of the 4 zone outlets floods 2 grow beds at once (since I have 8 beds total)...and yes, this seems to work nicely. No complaints thus far :)
