Thanks for the comments... Well not sure about the pumpkins yet... We don't normally eat pumpkins, but decided in spring to just try putting in some pumpkin seeds for kicks... and so we got pumpkins... but the cook is still skeptic about cooking pumpkins... so I am waiting... any easy recipes??

Not sure about the weight of the watermelon, and also not sure about the taste... I don't normally get much of a chance... the girl in pink usually eats the lot...

Next summer, it will be just melons through the garden... grapes as well hopefully...

Just get her to cut the pumpkin into thick wedges, rub a little olive oil over it, roast it, then serve sprinkled with a little sea salt, lemon juice and a little extra virgin olive oil drizzled over it ! Eat it with some grilled, spiced sausages.

Use pumpkins like potatoes in any vietnamese dish (or asian for that matter)

They work well in curries.

1 Pumpkin cut into small even pieces
4 Sebago potatoes cut in small even pieces
4 Carrots cut in even pieces
1 brown onion quartered
½ cup olive oil
1lt Vegetable stock
250ml cream
½ cup finely chopped parsley to garnish
Cracked black Pepper

Preheat oven to 190C
Place all veggies in an oven tray and coat all with oil.
Place in the oven and bake till all veggies are soft and starting to caramelise
Remove and once cool, place in a food processor and blend with vegetable stock until smooth consistency is reached
Re heat and ladle into a bowl and garnish with Cream, Parsley and cracked black pepper
Serve with crusty bread and butter....hohhhhhhh!
