Did you try barrra King E?

I havent ever tried because my water stays cool for at least 9 months of the year, it's just not viable for me.
Monya tried once in his old greenhouse system when he lived in Adelaide (then sold his house to his brother in law Steem). He didnt get the fish quite big enough before the end of summer and ended up spending alot of money heating the water to get them to plate size. They tasted great (Athena and I were invited for dinner and that was the thing that clinched the deal for the treasurer to hand over the money for my system). I remember him saying it wasnt worth it. But, I cant remember what size fingerlings he started with. It may be viable if you can get your hands on some larger fingerlings.

Thanks Guys, looks like we will have to investigate catfish, murray cod or just stay with the trout.

I got catfish back in Janurary and I can tell you that they grow and eat over winter. Dunno how long they will take to get to plate size .
Just got some little murray cod a couple of weeks ago but having a hard time getting them to eat and have lost 5. Would have been happier if they were a bit bigger

Hi All,
I'm also fishless at the moment, if anyone is looking at cod/catfish count me in.
My trout went well this year, but I lost all my Silvers when the weather turned warm suddenly. Some were four years old and quite large

G'day Scott
It's good to see you guy all still lurking. When's the next Adelaide get-together? It's been a while now (and I missed the last one)

Yes well that is an interesting question KE. We dont have anything to show off other than the new smoker, no fish, some veg in the system. Are we round to it being your turn yet. Think Monya was dealing with renovations for a wedding last time we spoke to him.

Hey Scottt..glad to see you are still here.

It's been a few years since you were all last here. My system has changed just a little but I've got no fish. Not sure if I'll have a free weekend here until Feb, (with a string of guests here over summer) but probably still wont have fish the way I'm going now!. I wonder if anyone else is up for it?
