Thanks guys.

Yea I hope they work out for you Column. I sent some to other members too so we will have to start up a passionfruit competition thread lol.

Purchased a dwarf Bowen mango tree for $25 at a near by market last weekend to add to the fruit orchard. Currently have about 5 or 6 Queensland Blue Pumpkins in the vine, no where near as fruitful as the butternut we grew last year but its still early days. Counted 22 corn bushels (is that the word) in the corn patch. Getting heaps of cucumber, strawberries, capsicum, chard, basil, coriander, parsley and cyian chilli. Doing well are the green and red apples and nearly ready to harvest 30 odd beetroot.

cheers.

Hello Charlie!

I suspect that you meant to say 'cob' since 'bushel' is a measure of capacity equal to 8 gallons (equivalent to 36.4 litres), used for corn, fruit, liquids, etc. You've got very well calibrated eyeballs, as well as an extremely productive patch, if you've casually counted 22 bushels of corn, haha!

I'm pleased things are going well for you over in my home state, mate, but I miss you here in the west.

PLJ

My Passion Fruit seeds germinated, thanks for sending those Charlie. My phone is broken so I can't post any photos yet at the moment but they are going good. Hope slaters and cut worms will stay away from them.

Hi Charlie

Here is a pic of the passion fruit seedlings grown from the seeds you sent me.
I will separate them into pots and take them under cover for the winter.

Very envious of you guys with surplus passion fruit. I regularly bought bags of them while living in Nicaragua, they're amazing in cocktails too! Unfortunately in the UK the opportunity to grow passion fruit is limited to say the least, and they cost nearly £1 a fruit in the supermarkets.

How are your vines faring? What sort of temp range do they seem comfortable with?

Hi Danny, yea the passionfruit is still steaming ahead and gives us more than we can handle every year. Our temps range quite a bit but it is sub tropics here so mostly warm the best part of the year.

Hi Dasboot, yea mate still alive. Great to see you still can't grow basil hahaha. Life is good, toes are still sexy as can be. Very busy and Ill try get some pics up of the property over the next few days. Had a major computer melt down for some time and have only really just got it back up and running.

Hope everyone is doing well
