not sure... do snails eat tommies? looks like a snail bite, but I'm not the best when it comes to these things.
Snails did similar to my carrot tops.

Nah, agree with Rupe. Caterpillars are the ones that climb inside and eat the guts out. Dipel will fix them.

I moved my barra into different tanks today.
Good new is
Despite a very cool December, they appear to being growing well.

Bad news is
I inadvertently threw half a dozen barra in to the SP tank
They are still there, waiting for the water to clear a bit before I attempt to separate them!
Might end up with some extra fat Barra and a few less silvers :|

I also found a heap of brown gunk-algae-slime stuff. It stinks!
I have never seen it before. Should I be concerned ??

Got some stinking hot weather coming up this week, so I thought I should dodge up some shade over the grow beds.
Off to B to buy some shade cloth, got what I wanted, then stopped off at the aquarium shop to pick up some water conditioner.
Whilst in the aquarium shop, some !@#$ing so and so, stole the shade cloth out my car
Guess I should have locked it
Back to B, they had run out of what I needed, (would appear half of Adelaide is buying shade today!)
Anyway got a smaller bit, not perfect but it will have to do.
Got home and scalded myself boiling the new shade cloth
Put up shade..
Time for a beer :D

I've read, on the forum a few times, about shade cloth being treated with anti-bacterial agents.
I thought this stuff may drip into the growbeads if it ever rain's ????
Probably just being over cautious :?:
