Ha ha...isnt it funny that "lay down yard" is an internationally recognised term for organised junk yard.

I purchased the bits for a fish corral a couple of months ago. Decided to make it today as I need to move fish from the big system into the greenhouse to keep that system going. The cod in there arnt doing it. Bloody things continue to eat each other so they can go in the sump of the big system and take care of them selves.
Thinking maybe 5 of the catfish and 5-10 of the smaller silvers
Will report back later on the corrals success or failure :D

Pulled all the pumps etc out of the greenhouse tank to get the cod out, and the nine I put in are all still there so they can stay.
Did a bit of fishing in the big system and hooked a small silver and a catfish both about 200mm so they went in the greenhouse with the cod.
Then this morning we had a -3C frost so had a look in the big tank which was 6C and one of the jades was swimming on its side , so netted him out and into the greenhouse as well. GH system was 9C so hope he comes good
Fun fun fun :D

With 40 odd silvers from 700g down to 100g and 14 catfish all sitting in one small area of the tank packed like sardines, I decided the tank needed at least some fiishy action. So netted 5 good sized goldies out of the pond to go in with them. The goldies have been eating pellets in the pond , so I might get a few nutes for the plants now.
Thats the plan any hoow :)

Hi Mantis,
Where did you get the catfish from? Looking to get a few for my system to help with keeping the system ticking over for winter.
Thanks Brett.
