Monya Yes the green house is complete but we have had no decent sun for about 3 weeks now. So the water temp has dropped to 15C

VB, they're barely feeding at all. We're giving them ½ teaspoon of food each day but they're not eating all of it. Have cut it back again today.

Although we're in Qld, it does get cold here. Out at Stanthorpe, west of here, it was minus 5 overnight.

Celery is a slow grower so wouldn't worry too much J - I go out and pick some to share (unfortunately it is eaten before I have left the GH  )

I got 1 bean out of my system today. The first one - I won't get too many cause I only have one plant that has made the Paw Paw its home. Didn't get anywhere before it was in my mouth. Delicious.

hi Jaymie. It took me a while to answer this. Oh well, I'm here now.

The fish are growing well. I've planted more tomatoes, silverbeet and capsicum and I'm waiting on parsley to give me seeds, then I'll pull it out. We have a few good size fish and lots of little ones. The larger ones seem to be growing fast now.

The main thing I've been doing the past few days is experiment with homemade fish food. So far, so good. The fish like it but I need to pelletize it for easy feeding. I'll report in again when the experiment is complete.

Hello people, I am reviving this thread because hubby and I purchased Forest's aquaponics system about 15 months ago for our new home. However, we have not gotten around to setting it up, and so have decided to sell it. We bought it for $1500 and would like $1300 or near offer. See the photos earlier in this thread for pictures of the system in operation (we have not used it at all!). It includes the fish tank, two grow beds, grow bed stands, pipes and valves and two submersible pumps (both working - we checked not long ago), oh and the manual and DVD!
We are in Crows Nest QLD, near Toowoomba.
Please get in touch if you are interested.

Cheers,
Carolyn & Dave
