Can't see why it won't work DP, The only thing to remember is make sure the water is running fast.
I haven't hooked up my FBT's as yet but will be on the weekend.
PS make sure the strawb's get alot of sun

Had to do a 50% water change today, the water was getting wiffy so I thought it would not hurt.
Other that that everything is going well and when OBO gets back with the rods I can start framing for the beds to go under the nft.

Thanks for the rods OBO, this weekend is booked out now building new frames.

Adding more fresh water this evening as the trout are looking lethargic and I've started up the old bio filter from the aquarium just to make sure.
Feeding has stopped until further notice. :|

I have been BULLIED into doing a water test this evening (thx OBO & Mrs OBO) but in the end things aren't to bad and i will admit I was expecting a full HSM.
Trout are still lethargic and have lost some colour, so I have to really get moving this weekend to get the next stage built or failing that take the trout over to OBO's for their own good.

The plan is to build stands to hold 5-6 nft pipes and run them from the new ibc I have, these will be in full sun to try and heat the water for the SP's and get them active again and in doing so free up my main tank for the trout.
I am going to build the frames at a high level so it will drain back to the ibc without using a sump so I only need one pump running.
I'm also toying with the idea of raising the current GB drain line just enough to drain back to the main tank without using a sump, this will cut back on the aeration but the air pump I have running should take care of that.
