Barra are go. Culled 1 with a fungal eye patch. Salted to 3 parts or a bit better. We'll see how they go. I'm wondering if I should feed in the morning or leave it a few days.

Hi there. Wow, it's been a while. Shame on me for only being active when I needed help. I should do a bit of run down of the past 2 years when I get the interweb back. This phone is too hard to type on.

As I am too lazy to drive to Adelaide for fish food, I was going to ask the olds to find me some while on holidays in NSW. They're in Nowra. Is there a place I can suggest to them?

Hi folks. :help: Once again, just poking my nose in when I have a question. Perhaps it is thread worthy?
It's that time of year again. When I wake up, with a million things to do over the next month, to the sound of fish looking for a new home. Swimming in little groups around the air bubbles. Who knows what 'plenty' is but I thought I had enough air, plus the return stream, but I guess it's just where they are at. I spent yesterday changing water so, apart from being dirty, it should be a bit fresher. I've got coolroom panels on top, which is a bit of a shame last night as we had a slight frost and that might have helped, but uncovered I get too many jumpers. My vege patch is a bit of a disgrace but I was leaving it as shade for the stones to keep the direct sun of them. So all up, the water seems cool enough (I wouldn't get in there) and there are plants of sorts (weeds and lettuce gone to seed), I'm wondering if the 'past it' vegetable matter is causing most of my problems? Are the roots of my 'shade' plants begining to break down and lower my water quality?

Another perhaps thread worthy question....... How many trout can you fillet an hour? How do you process your harvest for storage? Gut and head? Boney fillets? Boneless fillets?

:thumbleft:
