Have severely depleted my SIL’s Blue Barrel stock and used one of them to expand the Earthworm quarters.

Also I owe him my gratitude for entertaining the participants of the latest Vic meet.
One talent where my ability borders on inept.

Nearly all of the spring/summer crop’s gone, replaced by Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Broad beans, Sugar peas
and seeds of some greens thrown in as well.

After my previous attempt foiled by that plague of snails, this lot is doing OK.

Right now I’m trying to foolproof the system as much as possible.
Will be absent for over a month, so with my younger daughter and her beau in charge of it I may need a good measure of luck as well.

Your garden always makes me envious.....

I've put those bottles in the fridge here at work SteveS... Will probably crack one open for the end of Garden week perhaps, after we pack up and Faye is back at the shop... :thumbleft:

Steve
Found this thread while browsing through the forum. Maybe this'll help with the snail issue.

Thanks Bill, was considering the amber fluid but as I needed to bump up my pH as well,
the dolomite was really effective against the snails.
The GB (compost?) worms may have enjoyed them and the shells will help with the pH as well.

Will try to get few hours sleep before flying off to Chile early morning, for a month.
(After watching the Aircraft investigators earlier today) ,MDW not happy,

Been back few weeks already and very busy, sorting out the pics, editing video,
cleaning garden and also the same week we returned my DW had a minor surgery on her R hand,
a carpal tunnel, so I had to learn to do heaps of little jobs around the house and in the kitchen I newer knew existed.

Gladly, our younger daughter took good care of the AP sys. while we were o/seas.
Had no loses, fish and vegies doing great.

Some of the salad greens too big (old) to be palatable but the SPs do not mind it.

Looks like you didn't have any small crawly visitors helping themselves to your garden while you were gone. :thumbright:
Must have gotten the slug problem under control before you left.

Glad ya'll made it back alright.

Yes Bill, the dolomite put end to the snail problem, found only some green caterpillars messing with the broccolis,
was picking them off one by one but the winter weather put end to it as well.

Had the PC down for a week, one of the three H/Drives in the box let out its magic smoke.
No big deal, with everything backed up on another external drive but too busy to get to it strait away.

The AP sys doing just fine, no dramas, managed to get couple halfdecent picks of my cats.

Hard to get a pic of them because of the FT position and they keep to the bottom now.
Not as similar in size as the cats, some decent, like the cats, some very small.
