Great looking system!

What variety of strawberries are you using? They look impressive!

Thanks guys :D

ccBear you are very welcome to drop by sometime. PM me and we can arrange it.

Thanks Bob

I have no idea what strawberries they are! I bought them at a market and just as I handed over the money the seller said they were a "small" variety.

It turns out they are very small(Its not the size that counts apparently)!

They have a strange taste too, kind like artificial strawberry flavour... but in a nice way.
They are quite good, nice and sweet. But they are so small. If I remember I will take a couple of pics with a reference.

thanks scotty. That watercress is going nuts. I put an add on gumtree to basically give it away. Its going to seed now and will be no good soon. Hopefully some people come and take some ;)

its good to have in salads and stuff like that. I nibble on it when Im pottering around the system. Its quite peppery so most people would only eat small amounts.
Apparently it is quite nutritious..

Hi SuperVeg

Love your avatar! I used to use that exact same one until I made my own retro pixelated one!

Have been reading your build thread with great interest. Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

Mon

Update... finally

Everything growing like mad, Im trying to actually make good use of the growing potential of the AP and the dirt. Im not doing so well.

Original GB and mini expansion.
For some reason shallots and chives grow like mad in my system.
All those shallots are from store bought plants and just the bases replanted in the GB. I keep cutting them off and the grow back twice as big as before. Now they are all shooting (1 plant turns into 2).
Mint is on the left... why did I plant mint again ??

Spaghetti squash top left, we are really looking forward to eating it !
Salad greens are great! gotta get into them quick though, they go to seed fairly quick

Original GB. I need to get rid of the kale, got plenty in dirt. I have to figure out what else to plant but I dont want to use up too many nutes for fear of my tomatoes dying prematurely again like last year.

Anyone know if those are broccoli or cauliflower there ??

More salad greens and a first run of leeks on the way.
I figure leeks will grow well because shallots and chives are going crazy.
Leeks are expensive too and make a mighty fine soup !

Crazy Bok choy that has gone to seed.
The seed is finally maturing so Im hoping it will actually be viable. Its just a supermarket bok choy that i planted the stump of.
