Hi Charlie,

I borrowed a hydraulic car jack from a friend, placed it under one end of the bed on a length (oh about 1M) of treated pine sleeper I had lying around as a stabiliser/leveller. I had some off cuts (about 400-500mm long) of treated pine sleepers which I placed on the jack between the jack and the GB stand to spread the weight. Raise GB just off the ground and cut the legs with an angle grinder.

Once done shift to the other end, rinse and repeat. The weight of the GB's held them in place while the GB was tilted for the second lot of legs. Friend played the role of 'spotter', assisting in stabilising the GB.

I only lifted the bed enough to get the weight off the legs, no more. Used friend to help stabilise the bed while I cut. Obviously emptied the beds of water first and oh yeah, cut from the outside as much as possible :)
