With the weather we are having in Melbourne my water temp its about 20 so I think ill keep them a bit longer Im still desiden what to get for summer but I can't make my mind up trouts went so well this year that I wouldn't want to stock the tank with a fish that I have to wait two years to harvest and miss out on trout next year :dontknow: do you have any sugestions

Thanks again Gabriel

Last winter I put trout in a blue barrel that then flowed into the main catfish tank. I figured any leftover food would feed the cats. This worked great until the trout got large, I put them in with the cats, and trout started dying of head injuries...until I removed the cats.

I'd suggest something similar, but keeping things separated. Come summer, perhaps one could have two sizes of catfish...

I'm considering just keeping Silver Perch.

The main reason is I dont like the idea of clearing out 1 bioload, leaving it for a while and introducing another bioload.

No a big issue if you can time it, but with this wild weather....

Also, hate the thought of freezing fish cause we have to.

With SP, should be able to keep year round and multiple years....hopefullly.
