Had a bit of a tought this afternoon
Got the leftover pipe, drilled it out to fit more of the lettuce cups and nicked the dragons water crystals. Once the crystals had taken up as much water as they could,I filled the cups added the seeds I want to grow and placed them in position.
I figure that if they grow it will be eaiser to wash the crystals out of the root system before placing them in the growing beds?
The only thing I have to do is make sure I water them frequently so the crystals dont dry out.
The reason behind this is that I am impatient, the beds still need cycling for another 1-2 weeks and I really want to see if it will work :?

the beds so far.
I will move the lower pipe under the beds to make way for a bigger pipe later on.

Sorry for your loss mate,
we all make jokes (well I do) about other people's misfortunes (fish killing), but most have been there previously and know that sinking feeling

At the end of the day I need to find a cooling method that is both cheap and reliable.I`m glad that the tub/tank is my first trial and I can iron out some problems before going big though :D

To bury anything in Kal you need a machine! the ground is HARD,its very protected though and under the patio.I think because the pipes are out in the sun that I`ve made a hot water system?

Steve, all the temps are so varied as were having days of around 34-35deg for 2-3 days then storms hit and temp goes down to 16-20deg,when it settles out I`ll let you know.the tank is a bath tub and i haven`t any idea how many liters, so I`m guessing around 150-200 liters based on laying a 44gallon drum along side it
