have grow bed complete, purchased some clay balls from BYAP shop (Click Here to see my comments about BYAP shop) and have done a test with new water test kit, have posted question on what the results mean, this thread can be found HERE, but grow medium is 50-50 blue metal and clay balls, have the failed strawberries in GB at the moment, but my soil grown Strawberries look a little sick as well, obviously not a good year for Strawb's in Narrogin, all looks good and will let cycle until August and then hopefully will germinate some Killer Tomato's and some Baby Pumpkins (about potato size apparently) but a couple of pic's of the almost finished project

Strawberries in pvc pipe have taken off again, and so have the soil ones, so can't compare any problems I had with those, Collies and Brussels in pots around tank are also just taking off and Pok Choy has germinated in hanging pots as well, will do water tests this arvo and post results in my test results thread, am hoping ammonia has gone, stay tuned

As mentioned else where, found a dead marron today, it was a slow moving one from a couple of weeks ago that I thought was shedding its shell, have nets in tank now and hope to catch some live ones, I have a pair of Blue Marron arriving in a couple of hours so want to see live marron in tank before I put the blues in, well post Pic's of Blue's if I put them in tank, if no pic's you know I am cleaning out the tank  Pygmy Perch are doing fine so hoping it's just a one of death

Yes Kuda, but still worried about dead Marron I found yesterday, but doing all tests everything seems fine except ammonia at about .5 ppm put going down, but they are as pure blue as they come,

Hang in there Nocky, it'd be majorly sad to lose those beautiful blues...
Do they still turn red when cooked? or do they present differently on the table?

Ammonia now down to between 0 and .25 so dropping everyday, don't no what caused the spike, maybe just the dead marron No2 is at 1 ppm and No3 at under 10ppm Ph 7.6, a bit of algae in tank but just on oxygen weed and pvc pipe but slowly disappering but water still clearish, things are looking better
