Is it better for toms to be in dwc then? Easier to control the root mass?

Not sure obelix.. But i know IBC growbeds get tangled up to the point of it being choked out and overflowing.
I also know that using pots in a pipe (NFT) has the same issue of the pipes clogging and overflows,

DWC may be the answer

I have one in a 25L bucket (flood and drain) that has been going for more than a year and I only have one problem that the roots grow into the media guard.

I could just see miss Maggi stealing all of the hair clips for herself... Awesome setup by the way. You should be in sauce for life.

lol I luv the hair clip idea.. I'm stealing that for myself :D. oh well I'm too growing tomatoes but in a DWC gb. haven't gotten any problems with root balls thus far but I do know that generate alot of roots. tomatoes have been in the system ranging from about 1 month to 3 months... I like your system looks very clean and pristine. tomatoes to the world lol.

Looking pretty sweet. Nice and colourful clips.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garden-Plant ... fc5&_uhb=1

Although, $10 for 120 clips, I'm curious at how much your hair clips cost. These ones also latch onto the string so they can't fall down the line.

I see the fruit forming already!
