The photos that you have seen so far took about 5 weeks. 3 weeks full time & 2 pat time

Sorry to spoil the allusion Rope the photos are playing catch up. I started building this system just after Christmas. It taken me this long to get my act together to start posting. But there is still more to come.

So its "Rope" now - that will stick (like Axl)

Love the water fountain, Monya had the tag for the biggest fire hydrant but you have the water falling back into tank, which is more AP

I have learnt a very good lesson. Don’t use a steel drum for a sump. After only 3 weeks,
(Even before water started flowing) it started to rust.
So out it came & a 120l plastic bin went in its place.

is that like second hand ones david?

I just had a thought, that sump is really easy to make kiddy safe too, just organise a few holes and a padlock to the lid!

To reduce the amount of sun on the fish tank I made a cover that hangs from the roof on a simple pulley system.
It's made from a length of leftover 50mm Polly pipe joined in a loop, a couple of bits of rope & shade cloth over the top & then stapled to the Polly. Nice & light & easy to get up & down.
