Yep, looking good J (and of course, A)... On the duckweed, in WA we are able to buy it from aquarium shops no probs, most of them have it pre-bagged at the counter and ready to go. A guy at one pet shop said it lasts for at least a few days in the bags as long as there is some moisture in there.

Our friend GD (from duckweed.info) would probably be able to confirm (or debunk) this, but I have found that my duckweed grows better in straight pond water.

I have two areas where I have it growing, one an old aquarium which I threw in a handfull of manure with the duckweed, the other a large plastic tub which I just top up with tank water from time to time. The duckweed in the tank with the manure has started to go white just like you described, and growth is less than half the rate of the plastic tub.

The force is strong with this one........................ ;)

Jaymie, duckweed ships very well, i can send you some of mine at the moment, i don't have much, as i grow it in my tropical aquarium and when it covers the tank i remove 80% and put it in the AP tank, it lasts about 8 hours  But you're welcome to some :)

PM me your mailing addy, i'll try and hook up with F&F as i want to steal some of his duckwwed too! If its a different species then i'll send you both.

Steve

Thanks for the offer Steve, we'll see how we go with the council, now they've let us come and play in the lagoon

our first free ibc has sat out in the sun too long, so I went to ask the guy we got it from where I could get another one... he said, "you might as well take that one over there" We love you Wayne!
I don't know what condition it is in yet, so we'll see!

I think Wayne's wife is just pleased to get rid of some of the stuff from near the shed! (monster tanks, sump tank, ibc's... spare tools to borrow...)

I did pick him up some cheap blue drums in return.
