Sorry mate, I am jumpy like a prawn, must be the moon...

Kid you knot....good prices in freo for Tigers and king Prawns

I stuffed my own system around....playing with the parameters......Kimberly tafe is kind enough to do a water annalysis for me...very kind people

And I will restock with just Barra...might even have to participate in there on line aquaculture courses :compress:

Corrier Fisheries have a good price on prawns ATM for all those interested in a Chrissy feed

Well maybe it's not a bad thing in the end Jessy... get back to some basics... get rid of all the variables...

Just stock the Barra.... monitor the water... but more importantly... don't change anything... unless there is a very good reason to do so...

And never change more than one thing at a time... or change another thing ... until you have and are sure of the effects of the first change...

In the end, part of the beauty of aquaponics is the simplicity of it's natural balance... let your system find it's balance... and you'll find your own as well... ... AP isn't meant to be stressful...

Nearly all of us have had big fish kills....even after being told what to do or not to do.

Nothing like the affect of doing it yourself to make you realize.

Hi,
I am a newbie to this whole plant thing BUT I know fish and have been keeping them for 10 years odd (admitedly on and off). Those fish are hollow bellied. Meaning they have either an internal parasite or they have been starved to make sure that they will be fine on the trip??! if I see fish like that in a tank I will not buy them as they are either sick or a b!tch to get back on food!!!
I would cut one or two open to see if anything is in their guts.....
Whatever you do...I agree... do not pay!
Cheers,
KarelM
PS...sorry to about the loss...but see the second part of my signature below for motivation! :D :D
