I leave my mandarins on the tree as long as possible - I think they store better that way.

Just tasted my mandarins this afternoon - sweet and juicy. That's from one of my four trees (all different varieties and so varying ripening times).

We have a massive harvest of limes but all our other citrus are small yet.

Yea I might need to re-avaluate the depth Ive made it. Its about 600mm deep. What was I thinking. I stared at it for ages and I have no idea why I did it like that.

Ok, bit more work on the DWC today.

Shortened the hieght to 400mm, set the base braces in place and cut all the walls and floor.

Make the stand up tomorrow and then onto the biofilter drums.

and a little underwater cam action, Im surprised to see the trout and perch are still getting along. The trout are really starting to pack on the wieght and feed and growing well. No signs of torment or aggression yet. So far this winter I have continued feeding the perch by substituting the pellets with prawn and yabbie and Ive noticed some of the straglers are beefing up a bit......... enjoy :thumbright:
