Yeah same, there doesn't seem to be a big variety of veggies to grow down here in winter.
I've got celery, cos lettuce, onion, iceberg lettuce, broccoli and beetroot in the WB's.
Broccoli, cabbage, peas, beans, chard, silver beet, perpetual spinach, butternut pumpkin and left over tomatoes, zucc's & cuc's in the GB's.

do you think that cabbage is due to nutrients and water availability as much as soil temperature.
The ones in the pots probably get less opportunity as they don't appear to be in wicking pots.
good example of the benefits.

are you propagating the strawberries F&F or are those brought ones (in the wicking bed photo).
I had you figured for a productive propagator...

Will be interesting to see that tomato grow over the next month or so as it must be pretty cold out your way now.

Wow Milne, your setup is fantastic.

I have been dreaming of a way to do Dutch Buckets which I assume is what these are. You already said I'm certain, but if you don't mind, can you tell me where you got them and what experiences you've had with them? They look quite footprint efficient. What size and type of feed lines do they use? Is air injection needed?
Thanks in advance,
Brian

He brian these pots are called autopots [http://autopot.com.au/] there are lots of variables being used
Its 2 pots in a reservoir with a float valve between the difference is the design of the float
It lets the water dry almost out before filling again I run a 1/2 in main line and just dripper lines are connected to the pots
They were invented by Jim Far [Chinese Australian]
There have been knock offs English and I am shore somebody has invented it in [America ]
google that link and see if you can find members gardens also there out let display
A bit expensive yes but you can buy a few and when money is available add more
At there garden world display they are feeding water 50 meters under the car park to the canteen
Where there is a great display
I will look for more links and add before edit time closes
Found it
Brian just go along the top of that link and look in gallery
Also beauty is you can have a flat tray with 1 smart valve it will feed 20 pots
