Looks like a neat system you have the Francois!

Here is a miniature version of your media in basket idea :) I use them for the bigger plants in my system.

hi all
update on my plants and fish
the plants are doing ok but i had to add iron and some epson salt for magnesium
i have also been spraying the plants with brewed worm tea...
i bought a better quality kio food and with this i feed the fish worms +-3-4 times a day
the fish are happy
i am happy

Hay francois ,

I used the basket idea to start off my system. I knew I needed to have something portable, as I was moving within a few months and didn't want to do too much shovelling. I got my system cycling , and moving an entire IBC took less than an hour from turning the pump off at one house and turning it back on at the new house.

I pumped most of the water into the top half that I sat in a trailer, loaded the almost empty IBC bottom onto the trailer, stuck the baskets in, and away to the new house.

Too easy...

Great growth you have there. Just started working my way through 20 odd lettuce that all grew too well.
