How would you compare the noise they make to a submersible pump MC?

veggie boy,
thats alot differnt than what i have, ive had mine apart, it has no oil, just some white grease on the bearings in the motor. the you found looks alout more heavy duty. uses alot more power too. mine flows about 250 gallons an hour with no head. perfect for what im doing.

Yep - the relatively level nature of what you ar doing will help. What are you going to do about evaporation & transpiration if you are away for a few days - given that your system pretty much relies on the tank staying at the same level. How deep is the water in the bowl at the start?

after some tinkerin, the pump works best with the water level at 1/32" above the top of the bowl. it sucks about 90% of the water from the bottom of the tank, and about 10% it skims from the top. did not plan for it to work that way, but it works well.

Nice and all stainless it looks like. On the upper beam across the motor vent, did you need to or leave a hole for ventilation?

like Daniel said~ I could use some toys like that and a nice neat shed to work in. Do you have a gal come in twice a week to tidy up?

its all aluminum, but does have stainless bolts.

there was no vent on top of the motor, it is solid.

here it is, made the mount today. it is adjustable to make it easy to tune the system. it is aluminum and stainless. will take more pics when it is installed.
