Does that mean you are almost ready for grout and then move into the master bed room?

Looks like the layout hit good along the bathroom wall, what about the other side where it grew from the closet to corner?

Glad Jona is up and about. Could you ask him to call me regarding countertops?

Good morning Adam.
Yes we're nearly done in the Master bed room. The west wall floor I cleaned and chipped away most of the surface of the concrete. With a little rest I should be able to get the slight wedge shaped side pieces cut length-wise and fit them. Thanks for the tile break. That will do those long cuts perfectly.

Jona has researched how two thousand year old plaster wall s were built and created his own formula for a multi-layer plaster 3/4 inch thick wall which chemically returns the plaster back into a crystalline rock wall. It looks like a rock slab on our hallway wall. The plaster is harder than rock and weighs two hundred pounds! It's a beautiful art-form and craft. Hehe Jona is also a journeymen electrician. So much talent in whatever he does.
I'll let him know to call you Adam.

I don't know if the tile break has the capacity to cut your tiles lengthwise. You are probably going to have better luck using your wet Sat or 4" grill Der with diamond wheel.

If you take a piece of wood the length of the tile and make the width the size of tile plus the tile spacer and place on the last (set row) of where you are about to install. Place the wood piece against the wall and then scribe line (with pencil) and that will give you a perfectly tight piece against the wall.

You can make the width a bit bigger is you would like to have a bit more room against the wall since the base of your trim will cover.

I was wondering if the break could handle the long cut. How many scribe passes do you normally do for a thin tile?

It seems like this would mark the wrong side. Perhaps I need to flip the tile?

scribes will depend on how sharp the roller is. I managed to tile my master bathroom and shower with only running a single scribe, but then I loaned my break to a coworker and he ended up replacing the roller because he said it got to the point he had to scribe it several times before it would break clean.

It is tougher to cut a tile on an angle with a break because the back side of the tile you're cutting across multiple sections which don't break very clean... so if you have spare tiles you could try it on one, but if you had a wet saw it would probably be better (less risk of waste).

Okay great, I'l sacrifice one for a test.
Thanks Rob

Tile is face up, and cut goes along wall to be hidden by trim.

Very rarely do I use my wet saw, I cut outdoors and have learned (comfortable) with grider/diamond blade. UNLESS, cut is visible and not hidden by some other finish material.

Also, the break you have is smaller than the one I used initially and is sized for upto 15" diagonally. The wheel is hardly used for it was too small for my large format 20" tiles.

The tile does fit in this one, so I guess I can try.
On the other hand I'm also considering switching gears and head back in the woods and get the construction trailer that is back at the main campsite to replace the brooder van so I can start building nests for the hens. They are doing their thing now and one hen has a nice little nest under the exercise bike in the garden.

Good morning! Guinea Fowl are getting a living quarters upgrade. My son Austin and his friend Kyle helped me move the Brooder Van out of the way so we can bring the Construction Trailer (Karaoke Box) back from the Tusas Camp and put it in the place where the van was. This will give us more room to build nests and roosts. This will also I hope give the fowl more room to get away from each other inside the hen house. Let the fun begin!

I still have and old jail bus with stored bedroom furnishings in it blocking the lower driveway so getting the Jeep in to pull this van and get it in perfectly meant going the long way around the yard three times.

The Koi pond isn't heated, but I did get it covered.
No resolution on my pain issues yet. The appointment with Orthopedics got rescheduled until Thursday so I'm in another limbo. Sitting on a heating pad now :laughing3:

Never thought about that, but it is excruciating painful and can make any movement impossible.

I had a mild version in my late 20s and lasting to the mid 30s. Sitting on a horse for 10 hours and loading an unloading pack mules, was the cause. It would strike and the muscle spasm would immobilize me, serious pain killer and muscle relaxer would take care of it. Heat to the lower back, Fango packs and careful stretching exercises.
It helped a lot to get every 2 hours of the horse and walk for 30 minutes leading the train.

Thanks for your gnoib reply. I hope that soon I'll be back to my old self and keeping this thread about AP as I can again do stuff.
This is such good news for me. It means this can be treated with PT and a steroid injection for quick relief.
I already did these this morning http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sport-injuries/hip-groin-pain/buttock-pain/piriformis-syndrome-exercises
Also we have submitted a prescription for a fluoroscopic guided injection which doesn't look pleasant but Orthopedics doctor said my hip was good. http://anesthesiology.pubs.asahq.org/article.aspx?articleid=1942963
As my father used to reply to nurses and doctors, "I just want you to be happy." :wave1:

Good morning
We're still going with our projects. Not at the pace we were, but there is light at the end of this aggravating pain tunnel.
I'm in physical therapy, we know what is wrong with my hip and we're working on it. Remission meds are keeping the arthritis at bay. Birds and fish are well too.

Greenhouse is also doing well, thankfully it takes care of itself with little for me too do.

Filtration is still keeping up with the heavy fish load. I will need to double the area of the MBBR soon.

We let our Guinea fowl in the greenhouse when the weather is warm enough to let the door pen for the day. They seem to be happy to come inside for a taste of Summer now and then. They munch on a few greens and have trampled the tomato vines near the East facing window, which is a good thing because I haven't been well enough to get over in that corner to prune the vines away from the cold window.

Our fowl munch on a few plants which is okay with me.

The other projects are going too, albeit slowly.
i got one of the construction trailer wheels back together with an inner-tube. The second I took apart incorrectly and tore a hole in the tube trying to get the rubber back on the rim. We bought a new tube and now know which way to remove and install the tire.
I cleaned the filters on the outdoor Koi pond and topped up the water yesterday. I asked the PT doc if there was anyway to do some of the stretches and exercises while I throw firewood on the back porch. I bet the doctor never had that request before. Anyway the doc din't know about that. I have to this routine:

My body has gone to sh@t since I've been unable to move without pain. I need to get my muscles working again.
Being out of inflammatory arthritis pain only have this Scoliosis come on has been challenging to say the least.
Thanks for reading

I got a couple items on my list executed! Finished cutting all the tiles for our master bedroom! Our little wet bladed tile saw worked great. Finished the second Construction Trailer wheel repair. I'll need help jacking the trailer and hauling it from the Central Meadow to our house. As usual three prerequisites are needed to do everything out here on the ranch. This time I only needed to level the air compressor so it wasn't rubbing on the wall before filling the tires.

I had trouble with the first tube lining up with the filler hole. I came up with the nut matching the treads on the fill port.
That worked well. I needed some successes under my belt. :notworthy:

The first one hadn't lost pressure since I got that tube in three days ago, yahoo!
I can see a time when I'll be able to work on the Rio Gallenas Charter school AP as well as ours.
I'll also need to get my muscles back to functioning. Then watch our out for RockMan, heehee.
Wishful thinking maybe, but spiritually I'm already getting there.
