All the pits for a little over $200. More for peace of mind. If I had PVC and something fell on it the water would go into the shop. The 19mm taps must have a screen in them because I notice the flow is slowing. Going to have to drill them out before they block up. Water is starting to clear again.

All the screens have been adjusted with the screwdriver. Flow is back to normal. Got the cover on now.

Planted some more stuff in the Gb's. Mainly anything I could get my hands on. So there are a few more tomatoes, silver beet, Mint, basil, chives a few winter veggies I forgot about. And then a hand full of seeds that now I think about it I should of drawn a map of where they went. Might be interesting to see where they come up and if I overlapped a bit.
Reading are still the same. Touch of ammonia and the nitrite still at 1. Thinking if it has not dropped in the next week I might do a 50% water change just to see what a .5 reading would look like.

Still no change. Lowered the water by 40cms to help the turn over in the GB's. It has not effected the water flow from the pump. Put a venturi on the outlet to the 1000ltr GB. Splashie  Slowed the draining I think. Very hard to tell but it broke the siphon okay.

2560lts gravel
260ltrs Bioballs

All are on continues flow flood & drain. Most of the GB's f&d every 20min ish. Even the 1000ltr keeps up with them. Nitrate was well over the 80+ mark until I planted more plants. But I have not check this again since. Might not have put much of a dent in it. Salt is 3ppt and fish are happy. Nitrite has been steady at 1.

Will have to time some of the f&d times. When I dropped the water or do any changes I adjust the flow slightly if it needs it. 7000 to 8000ltrs per hr at a guess.

I think it did most of it cycling in the blue drums before the new GB's and pump. Checked the Nitrate and its even darker so there must be a fare amount of bacteria going. Has anyone worked out how much Na plants can clear up. In the smaller system I can have 10 one day and none the next. The larger system I keep putting in more plants and the Na is still not being effected. The salt may be slowing the plants down a little.

I'd be far more worried about the nitrite level at the moment.

Yeah nitrite is the main problem just looking at other things while I wait. Salting to 3ppt to counter the nitrite. Fish are very active and happy, showing no signs of o2 def. Harder to do a water change with the volume of the pool. Mainly getting the new water to gas off the chlorine. And I don't know if too many water changes slows the cycling process.

I always think it does, save water changes for HSM on ammonia. Whats your ph and water temps?
