The barrel shavings are how I make the welding rods.

But I did think of using it instead of clay

I think Nat is making a lovely Blue Barrel home for himself and Emily :D I am waiting for him to rock up to work in a nice Blue Barrel 4WD. Your imagination is fantastic, Nat :headbang:

Well if people can make homes from wine bottles and bales of hay I am sure that Nat can make a home for himself and Emily and all the fish with blue barrels.

Nat - do you make your designs on concrete and sweep up the plastic dust?
I've found that it gets everywhere and I feel a little guilty if I don't get it all swept up.

Its awesome! when I get time to use it but for anyone looking to weld blue barrels a good soldering iron with good temp control can work just as good. its all in the temp controll.
If you what the best possible weld then spend the money on welding rods and a plastic welder and spend some time practicing

Nat, in all seriousness you should have your template replicated and sell it. Your videos are all over the world and I know there are a bunch of people that would pay for it, (myself included). I looked at the pictures of it you posted but quite honestly I am not computer literate enough to put it together to the proper scale.
