It was too, I sprinkled a mix of ground ginger, chilli powder, cumin seed, cardamon and salt with a little bit of butter over it before baking it. Even the kids gobbled it all up. :notworthy:

Your system would have to be the most productive on the forum I reckon, no one else has shown as many pictures of harvests being eaten... :thumbright:

 Maybe thier cameras are broken? ;)

On a brighter note the pump from Dean (Growfresh Aquaponics) arrived on Monday. I mounted and siliconed the elbow onto the outlet on Tuesday and Today I will put it in the tak and take out the backup pump. It has done the trick (just) during the breakdown but it deserves a rest now :)
The tomatoes, caps, corn, pumpkins, zuccini, rainbow chard and rocket that we planted the other week are doing well but the lettuce got a little dry and didn't make it unfortunately :( .
Not everything went into the Growbeds tho. The pumpkins, corn, zuccini and some of the caps went into the Dirt Garden but most of the others went ito the big bed (its gonna get crowded I think :0
In the Redclaw/Rainbow system we have found that totally ingoring the thyme is the only way to keep Jaymie from killing it :). It seems to be flourishing up there in very little shade. Rosemary is also looking happy I am assured.

I have to go and remove and relocate some watercress today as it is overtaking the strwberries in the other growbed.
Well best get onto it

Cheers
Axl

Not sure how this happened , but we now have two "Demo" days next week!

On Thursday a class from Ignatius Park Secondary College (Townsville) are coming out to look at the system and to ask questions!!!! (not sure what sort of replies they'll be getting as it will be me doing the demo- Jaymie will be at work :( ) They have just set up a small system at their school but haven't got any fish in it yet.

Then , on Sunday we have a heap of hippies, sorry I mean the Townsville "Food For Thought" group coming out. Luckily Jaymie Will be here for that one. the group formed a month or so ago and is all about networking and greener / sustainabilty / Food miles etc. also looking at re-invigorating the Townsville Community Gardens (we have 4 of them) and working witht he council to establish a regular Farmer's Market. We had the last meeting at Townsville's only "Green Plate" restaurant.

Wish us luck!
Axl

Hi Axl and Jamie,
I just read thru your thread and it was great. I found out lots including what HSM means! I thought it was 'horrible senior moment'!
Holy shit mode sounds good too!
Good luck with the demo days and keep up the posts.
cheers
Dale

Jaymie and Alex,
Thank you for your hospitality this afternoon and showing me around your system, now even more determined than ever to get my system up and running.
Might have to ask the wife for permission to start before the house is finished.
:wave1:

cheers

Dwayno
