Well, I can't say I heard any new groundbreaking information but there was a big interest from a lot of people wanting to create small scale community AP systems and several guys going to different parts of Africa to build ap systems in orphanages. It was a lot more focused on feeding people then making profits. We actually just had a customer finish building a system in an African orphanage and the pic of the kids faces holding their first harvest is priceless.

I also had a guy tell me he just invented the first commercial ap system...

Still, i love talking to people that actually have an interest in AP. Good on Will Allen for getting the word out there to so many people.

Waiting for my plane and I'll be home by midnight....back into work at 7
Yuck!

The top picture: can you explain that system? Is it a track system and how do you harvest the middle plants, etc...?

Yeah Bill, it's an NFT system and we plant from one side and harvest from the other so we are always harvesting from one end. We remove the tray, harvest, slide the others down, pressure wash and replace with seedlings at the opposite end. You can reach up between and harvest from the middle if you want but it messes up the continuous harvest cycle that we do.

Very cool cloud pictures! Was that your visit from hurricane Isaac?
I liked the mantis pic, too. I actually saw one walking across a road the other day. Which begs the question, "Why did the praying mantis cross the road?"

Thanks! And yeah Jimbo...thought the greenhouse was going to get sucked out of the ground but it didnt budge at all. I actually feel a lot better about loading it up with equipment after watching it go through that storm.

I brought the first tank home yesterday! 7 to go :)
