umm, death? there doesn't seem to be any obvious causes for the deaths.

We have been feeding crushed 10mm pellets lately, simply because we could not get anything else. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get smaller pellets again. Can fish choke on bigger pieces? It was mostly the 12month old fish (about 20cm long) that were doing the dying.

In a word yes they can choke when the pellets are dry they are smaller than wet put a couple of pellets on water and see how big they get

i read in this forum an article stating aged fish pellets/food can be responsible for fish deaths.

since the tank clean out, we have been extra careful with crushing the fish food, and putting it through a screen to make sure it is small enough. things are good so far :)
